What our clients say

97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.

Machu Picchu was the ultimate climax at the end of the tour & definitely best to see it lastly. However all the previous places, people & food all definitely contributed hugely to a truly memorable trip - a visit to Peru with the preceding visits made the whole adventure far more meaningful & pleasurable.

The train journey from the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu was amazing - the landscape was breathtaking, and the tour leader explained so much to us on the way.
The whole trip was well-organised allowing our group to maximise the time we had in beautiful Peru. We covered a large distance, but the pace was just right, and the accommodation was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

So many highlights it's difficult to say! The routing was excellent both in terms of acclimatising to the altitude and building to the grand finale at Machu Picchu.

Reaching the summit of Machu Picchu Mountain and seeing views that will live with me for the rest of my life ... wow! This was a very special moment.

PB, Wareham

Machu Picchu was amazing and exceeded our expectations. But the trip was full of other great highlights, which came as more of a surprise - Arequipa and Cusco were lively cities with impressive colonial architecture and plenty of things to do. The trip to the Uros Islands was magical and it was amazing to see how people live on islands made of nothing more than reeds. The train journeys were wonderful.
This was our second trip with JLA and, as with the first, we had a fantastic trip and a wonderful experience. JLA's knowledge and experience of Latin America shone through in the organisation of the trip as a whole, and all the individual trips and options. We would whole-heartedly recommend JLA to anyone contemplating a trip to Latin America and we will definitely be booking another tour with JLA in the future.

Our first trip to S. America was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was very well organised and we couldn't have had a better group leader than tour leader. The local guides were very knowledgable and enthusiastic to share their country. When we booked this holiday we thought it would be our only trip to S. America, primarily to see Machu Picchu but now hearing the tour leader talk about other tours she has run we are eager to see more of the continent with JLA.

We cannot pick out one most memorable part of our trip as every day provided us with a new and exciting experience. We saw and experienced things we had only dreamed of, some of which had been in our dreams for over 48 years.

Seeing the Condors taking flight first thing in the morning in the most stunning setting is a memory that will live with me forever. Looking down from the Sun Gate and seeing the full extent of the magical setting of Macchu Picchu was awe-inspiring.

JLA is one of the best Tour Operators I have been with - nothing in the booking process was too much trouble. They stick to specialising in one continent, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and the tour groups small. A pity more of their competitors don't take a leaf out of their books.

Thank you for giving me an amazing trip, with a wonderful leader and a lovely group of people to travel with.

Amazing itinerary. Great group that bonded well and the best tour leader. All the places made it a memorable holiday. Machu Picchu, the train from Puno to Cusco and the flight of the condors added even more.

DP, Hinckley

Looking over Machu Picchu from a high point on the site, Watching the stars from the hot spring baths in Colca, the alpacas, drinking pisco sours!

HS, Borehamwood

Overall, the holiday was excellent. As a single traveller, it was great that the group - a mixture of couples, pairs and singles got on very well together, which added to the enjoyment. The specialist guides were very good especially our guide at Cusco, Machu Picchu and Pisac.

PW, Beaconsfield

Every day was a highlight - loved the train from Puno to Cusco, and then there is Machu Picchu.

RK, Dorchester

Where do we start? 25 condors at Colca Canyon, vicuna, llama and alpaca at every turn, fabulous weather, the surprising majesty of the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and the amazing Iguassu Falls in full flow after heavy rain in the interior. 6 equally wonderful experiences.
A very well organised and fascinating holiday. An excellent tour leader who helped make the experience very special. Thank you all for all your efforts on our behalf.

Machu Picchu. What a privilege to go to such a stunning place. It was a little too busy in the morning, but walking part of the Inca Trail to the Sun Gate in the afternoon, when it had quietened down was an experience I will never forget. The train from Puno to Cusco was also something very special. In fact, most of the trip was just amazing. Well organised and we saw so much that would probably have been impossible as a solo traveller.
