November - April

There is plenty of sunshine and the climate remains hot and humid. With little to no rain during these months, by April the landscapes are parched and arid. December – January are the busiest months for visitors, though there are other cultural events which attract crowds. In April, Huatulco hosts the Fiesta del Mar, while November is a busy month in Puerto Escondido with traditional folk dancing for the Festival Costeño de la Danza and a surfing tournament.

The weather is hot and steamy with high humidity and plenty of sunshine. Most rain falls between June and September, which breathes new life into the parched landscapes. July and August can be a busy time to visit.
