Swim with whale sharks

Jump in and swim alongside the world's largest species of fish.

Between June and September, Holbox and Baja California are two of the best places in the world in which to take to the seas in the company of the magnificent whale shark, the world’s largest fish.

While they may look a little intimidating, these placid underwater giants are filter feeders and pose no threat to humans – indeed, you can jump in and join them on a special whale shark watching boat trip. Surrounded by endless ocean and dwarfed by this mighty 12m fish, you cannot help but be humbled by nature’s grandeur.
