This is the high season for visitors, with sunny, dry weather which is not too humid. Conditions are ideal for exploring the lush valley on foot, or taking a cycling tour through the sheer limestone monoliths and fertile plantations. For four days in March, there are lively carnival celebrations with parades and live music.
