When to go to Sierra Maestra and the southeast

This is the best time to visit the mountains, as the days tend to be dry, sunny and not too humid. Try hiking to the highest peak in Cuba, Pico Turquino, which offers staggering views from 1,972m above sea level. In April the little port town of Gibara hosts a film festival.
