Bayamo's best hotel, with a cheerful yellow exterior and prime position beside the main square and Parque Céspedes.

With its cheery yellow façade, the Hotel Royalton has stood proudly in the heart of Bayamo’s historic city centre since the 1940s. It was originally a private residence but now offers comfortable, if not spacious guest rooms with modern amenities.

The hotel has a restaurant offering a simple selection of local dishes, but the central location means you can take your pick from abundance of bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance along the attractive pedestrianised boulevards that surround the hotel.

The hotel overlooks Parque Céspedes and the Plaza de la Revolución, and the al fresco tables spilling out onto the pavement from the charming, wood-panelled bar area are the perfect place to sit and soak up the atmosphere. There’s also a private sun terrace.

  • "Pretty, central and friendly. Was very difficult to find as the roads were blocked and didn't have any names on them so my Google map was rather useless !"
