Cuba’s exuberant musicality is never more tangible than at the casas de la música (‘music houses’ or dance halls) found in almost every town or city. One of the liveliest is found in the capital, where the huge dance floor heaves with a predominantly Cuban crowd from the live salsa band’s very first note to their last bow. Watching the incredible footwork and swaying hips of the locals will no doubt inspire you to join in.
