Quite old fashioned but interesting history.

JS, Amersham

This hotel was spotlessly clean and probably our second favourite after Patagonia camp. It has a huge pool and the food in restaurant was also good .

LH, Altrincham

“It was a completely new experience, unlike any other we've had (and we're fairly well travelled people), and we loved every minute of it. We totally approve of the ethics of the camp.. If you have the "get up and go" for the Eco-camp experience DO IT!..”

PC, Moreton-in-Marsh

Beautiful colonial hotel, limited breakfast.

JS, Harrow

"Great location near to the main square with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Rooms are huge and the gardens and courtyards are set in lovely grounds. Breakfasts are freshly served with requests for eggs taken to order."

JC, Usk

Beautiful building in gorgeous countryside setting. Large, attractive rooms The wine tour and tasting was excellent, informative and interesting. The food in the restaurant was particularly good too, using organic ingredients from the estate.

Loved it all!!

A trip with JLA is a trip with the local experts. They can respond quickly to challenges such as FCO advice not to visit an area and know the local people who can make the holiday really memorable. One other comment about Colombia - the people we encountered, of all ages, in the streets, shops, hotels etc were friendly, welcoming and the most polite I have met anywhere in the world!

HR, Brentford

As above. Brilliant from both sides.  Also went into Paraguay on our suggestion.

MS, London

Carrie's knowledge and expertise certainly enhanced the whole trip. She was always incredibly well organised and suggested local events and excursions that we would not otherwise have known about.

VP, Haywards Heath

"An unexpected delight except for one member of the staff who did not know when to stop talking to us."

ST, Sutton

“ We approached JLA with an outline itinerary having looked at some options beforehand, and they very quickly produced a solid itinerary with a few new choices for us. We were able to confirm our booking soon afterwards and found all of their recommendations lived up to expectations during the trip. Ground arrangements in Argentina were pretty much flawless, so we soon gained confidence that each arrival in a new location would run like clockwork. We would happily use JLA for our next South American trip. Thank you.” Travelled to Argentina

Bolivia Highlights? Impossible to single out any one aspect. We had visited the salt flats before and thought that this might be exactly the same, but as the road and weather conditions necessitated changes, this was like a completely new experience - we visited places and followed routes which we hadn't last time. One thing we particularly liked was the little museum and stone garden in Coquesa on northern edge of the salt flats - this really should be on the itinerary of anyone visiting the area.

Great view from balcony

This trip can be well recommended to all travellers in this part of the world. It was a great experience with many lasting memories including due to good weather landing at Cape Horn.

Saws two Quetzels on a day when no-one else did !   Excellent guide.

RF, Stanmore

The stay in the Pantanal was fantastic - it's such a peaceful laid back place and the guides especially Zaine were so helpful, informative about the environment and knowledgeable about the wildlife. The outings offered were so well thought out and even though for example we'd never ridden before the support we were given was sensitive and we felt we'd done it all our lives! Seeing the grey river otters swimming in the early dawn was amazing.

Mary was a great guide, and she included a visit to the English Fire Station in Valparaiso, which has a small museum of its earlier days. I don't think this is a regular part of the tour but it was fascinating.

RE, Knutsford

The whole trip was memorable because it was one fantastic adventure in four parts . We absolutely loved the stays in the Amazon & the Pantanal and felt exhilarated from the visits. We saw & experienced great things and have so many lovely memories.

Highlights:- The cruise [Skorpios II] was spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed Puerto Varas.

Most memorable experience: "The helpfulness of the guides and the appreciation they showed for us making the effort to visit their countries."
