December - April

The best months for bird watching fall between February to April, with this period also offering the best weather conditions. Temperatures reach highs of 26 – 29°C and rainfall lessens during December and January. March is the driest month. This is a great time to visit for music lovers, as the Monterverde music festival usually begins in February.

May - November

The ‘green season’ begins in May, when the rainfall grows heavier and reaches its peak in September and October. Pleasant temperatures of 26°C during the day and fewer visitors mean this can still be an excellent time to take in the lush vegetation of the region.
