Swim below a Costa Rican waterfall

La Fortuna Waterfall

Take a refreshing dip directly beneath the flume of a 70m waterfall in a rainforest setting.

Plunging down into a forest amphitheatre from a height of 70m, La Fortuna cascades through the tropical jungle carpeting the slopes of Cerro Chato volcano.

We’ll drive you to the start of a short but steep jungle trail, where you can climb through rainforest echoing with the sounds of insects, birds and monkeys to reach the gushing waterfall of La Fortuna. Stop for a refreshing swim in the plunge pool at the foot of the falls, or just relax beside the river bank before returning.
