Luxurious, multi-award-winning resort with a relaxed and rustic air, outstanding views of Arenal volcano and extensive grounds sheltering secluded, unashamedly romantic cottages.
.

The rugged yet fertile mountain country northwest of San José, with tumbling rivers and thick tropical forest brimming with life provides an idyllic setting for this multi-award-winning hotel overlooked by the active Arenal volcano.

The meticulously maintained tropical grounds of the award-winning, unashamedly upmarket Arenal Nayara Spa and Gardens feature a delightful ornamental lake as a highlight. The property is surrounded by tropical woodland with a small creek below. Individual cottages (casitas and villas) comprise its guest accommodation; the style is rustic but utterly romantic. Each spacious cottage is furnished with polished wooden floors, exquisite four poster bed and a private veranda.  All the free-standing cottages also have a secluded outdoor shower in the rear garden which envelops each of them: floor to ceiling windows encourage the feeling of being embraced by nature.

The partially al fresco restaurant and lounge is stunningly located on the hilltop with views of Arenal volcano, there you can dine from a sophisticated menu. There are several other eateries and bars, each with its own striking style and décor. The hotel also has a Jacuzzi with wet bar, a fitness room and a spa offering facials and massage treatment. If you can drag yourself away, activities organised from the lodge include river rafting, horse riding, ziplining and hiking.

The sister property next door, Nayara Springs, is an exclusive, top of the range adult-only boutique hotel.
