Visit Quindio Butterfly Park

Butterfly

Explore Quindio's botanic gardens and see 50 polychromatic species of butterfly in its butterfly house.

Quindio's botanic gardens are filled with orchids, heliconias and bromeliads. Explore the butterfly house, built in the shape of its fluttering residents, where over 1,200 individual butterflies belonging to 50 different species live.

There's also an 'insectarium' housing native spiders and other creepy crawlies, and plenty of bird species to be seen in the gardens, including numerous hummingbirds performing their aerial dance above the tropical flowers.

The park is located in the town of Calarcá in Colombia's gorgeous zona cafetera, or coffee-producing region.
