Homely budget hotel with an alpine aesthetic and a welcoming open plan lounge and dining room.

A good budget choice, Hotel Malalhue is just outside Pucón. In keeping with its alpine design, interiors are rather chintzy but cosy and welcoming, with steep pitched ceilings and wooden walls.

You’ll find guest rooms on the small side, but we particularly like the open-plan layout of the hotel’s lounge, bar and dining room. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner if you don’t fancy the 2km trip into town.
