If you do feel like venturing out, you may wander along the beach to Barra de São Miguel, a laid back little place which comes alive at weekends and Carnival.
Maceió is well connected by road and air with the rest of Brazil. Kenoa itself is only a 40min drive from the airport but a world away from the urban bustle.
