Friendly and well-located hotel occupying a graceful colonial building, with tastefully decorated rooms and a large pool fringed by tropical greenery.

The friendly and well-located Pousada do Principe occupies a graceful colonial building close to the picturesque old town. The large pool in the central courtyard, fringed by lovely, lush tropical greenery, is a particular selling point.

Guestrooms overlook the pool or gardens and are spacious and tastefully decorated with bright accents and large, comfortable beds draped with cheerful textiles. Staff are helpful and eager to please, and can book a range of excursions for you at reception.

There is a restaurant, bar and sitting room, all with exposed stone columns and carefully chosen reminders of the hotel’s historic pedigree.
