Overview & Highlights

This private, guided journey takes you from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean visiting three of the continent’s grandest cities:  Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Santiago along with Iguazú Falls and a couple of the well regarded vineyards supplying some of the best New World wines.

This overview of Brazil, Argentina and Chile takes you from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific ocean, including three of South America’s most impressive cities - Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Santiago.

You begin in Rio with its music on every street corner and football on every beach - all with a glorious mountain backdrop. Visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue for magnificent views. Continue north to the Iguazú Falls, the immense, roaring cataracts which straddle the frontier of Brazil and Argentina.

Move on to Buenos Aires, a city oozing culture and nostalgia. Head back into the countryside and the sunny vineyards of Mendoza, where some of the best Argentine wine is produced.  Visit some of the finest wineries then cross the Andes to Santiago and end your trip on a wine tour at one of Chile’s also highly regarded wineries.

What our clients say

  • The tour was obviously well organised and structured, but it never felt rigid, there was the flexibilty to do your own thing if you wanted to, and enough 'free' time…

    MD, Stafford
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Colombia, which was very well organised by JLA.

    RW, London
  • An excellent holiday made especially memorable by the leadership, thoughtfulness and humour of our guide.

    RL, Reading
  • Everywhere we stayed the local staff were particularly helpful and cheerful. As an older member of the group I particularly appreciated we stayed 2-3 nights giving me time to relax…

    RI, Shrewsbury
  • Chile is such a beautiful country, with an extraordinary range of landscapes.  It was a wonderful journey. This was my first experience of Latin America and I fell in love…

    DW, Wells-next-the-sea
  • It was our first experience of small group travel, and although on balance we prefer independant travel, to cover as many countries as we did, we couldn t have done…

Our Expert's Opinion

We have put together this holiday for those who would like to visit three of South America's biggest attractions in just one trip. I love that you will cross the continent on this trip and see the contrasting landscapes and cultures. Rio, Buenos Aires, and Santiago all have their own personalities, and even the wine regions of Argentina and Chile provide distinct experiences. Crossing the frontiers between these countries are particularly memorable moments of this trip: the natural borders of Iguazú Falls between Brazil and Argentina and the Andes mountain range, which slices through Argentina and Chile, make for some of South America's most impressive border crossings.
