Luxurious cabins built into a 1,200 year-old Mayan temple, surrounded by jungle rich in bird and animal life.

Chan Chich Lodge is not just a top-of-the-range lodge – it’s a holiday experience in itself. Enveloped by the natural world and yet remarkably comfortable, the lodge offers excellent facilities including a fully screened pool and a Jacuzzi. To add some serious wow factor, the luxurious cabins occupy the lower plaza of a 1,200 year-old Mayan temple.

Wildlife thrives within the grounds as well as in the surrounding jungle, part of a large private reserve in one of the most remote and pristine corners of Belize. There is a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including howler and spider monkeys, jaguars, ocelots and a myriad of bird species. Whether or not you are fortunate to catch a glimpse of a wild cat during your visit, it is unlikely you’ll leave Chan Chich without feeling humbled by the overwhelming supremacy and beauty of nature.
To get to the lodge, take an exciting 30-minute charter flight from Belize City by light aircraft followed by a short drive. It’s possible to go overland in the drier months: a 4-hour drive passing through Mennonite communities.
