Wonderfully situated estancia with the atmosphere of a cosy and authentically Patagonian country cabin.

Lovely Peuma Hue lies within a large private estate on the southern shores of Lago Gutiérrez, a short drive from Bariloche. The scenery is out of this world – mountains, pristine forest, waterfalls and creeks sprawl out in every direction.

The estancia was built completely from scratch by its passionate proprietor using local materials and traditional techniques. Inside it calls to mind a cosy country cabin, with an authentically Patagonian feel and no shortage of homely details such as atmospheric wooden beams, warm lighting, handmade rugs and traditional artefacts.

The property is divided into two separate ranch buildings, each with a cosy living area with log fire and dining table where guests eat communally; there are also two secluded cabins in the midst of the forest. Numerous activities can be arranged to make the most of the spectacular surroundings, including horse riding, white-water rafting, kayaking, nature walks, wine tasting, tai chi, yoga and visits to neighbouring parks.
