Sea-kayaking in Antarctica

Sea Kayaking

Take to the water in the Southern Ocean on a thrilling sea-kayaking expedition from your Antarctic cruise ship.

Take to the ice-choked waters of the Antarctic Ocean on a unique sea-kayaking expedition. Closely guided and never straying far from your cruise ship, you’ll glide through glacial waters eye to eye with penguins and sealions, gazing up at colossal icebergs and the snow-stifled mountains beyond. Or look down through crystal clear water to discover life in the undersea world beneath the surface.

Depending on your ship and local conditions, the excursions explore the Antarctic Peninsula’s western coasts and sometimes the northern part of the Weddell Sea. Sea-kayaking here is confined to experienced sea-kayakers only, this is an extraordinary and challenging adventure which will only take place in benign weather conditions.
