Itinerary
Day 1 Depart UK, arriving Lima same day.
Day 2 Fly to Cusco.
Day 3 Half day city tour of colonial Cusco including nearby ruins and the temple fortress at Sacsayhuamán.
Day 4 Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas including Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
Day 5 Early train to Machu Picchu, guided tour of the ruins. Overnight.
Day 6 At leisure, return to Cusco by train in the afternoon.
Day 7 At leisure in Cusco.
Day 8 Full day train journey through the high altitude central valley to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Day 9 Skirt the lake by road and continue by catamaran across the highest navigable water body in the world to La Paz, Bolivia. A spectacular journey with the snow-capped Cordillera Real on the northern horizon.
Days 10 & 11 At leisure in La Paz including half day city tour and excursion to the Moon Valley.
Day 12 Fly to Lima.
Day 13 Fly to UK via Madrid, arriving day 14.
