Day 1 Early morning departure for four hour drive to Ica, Peru’s principal grape-growing region. One hour round-trip flight over Ica, Palpa, and the Nasca Lines. Afternoon visit to the Ica Regional Museum with its fascinating collection of mummies, pottery, and textiles from the Paracas and Nasca cultures. Visit the oasis at Huacachina. Late afternoon departure to Paracas arriving at your hotel in time to watch the sun set over the Pacific ocean. Day 2 By motor launch to the Ballestas Islands, whose steep, barren, rocky cliffs are inhabited by tens of thousands of birds and large colonies of sea lions. Return to Paracas.
