Fixed departures from La Paz or Loreto (February - March)
3 days, 2 nights
The grey whale, one of the world’s oldest mammals at 30 million years, migrates 20,000km southwards from Alaska to calve and nurture in the shallow lagoons at Lopez Mateos, Baja California, just 3½ hours’ drive from La Paz (where you spend the first night).
From your hotel at Lopez Mateos you will make two trips out by boat to be literally surrounded by the whales - sightings are virtually guaranteed. (May be combined with kayaking trips - see above right - on some dates). | Read more about: Baja California
