Known as the "City of Eternal Spring", Cuernavaca is blessed with a perfect climate and flowers year-round. The city is located only about 80km south of Mexico City. It is linked to Mexico City by a spectacular mountain motorway and is a kind of colonial-cultural upmarket suburb for the metropolis.
Language Programme

- Placement test - There is a short written and oral test.
- Class schedule - Classes take place from 9am - 1pm. At 2pm there is a conversation club as well as grammar/vocabulary workshops. From 4:30pm - 6:15pm there are classes in Mexican history and culture.
School Atmosphere
- Students' nationality - The majority of the students are from USA.
- Facilities - The school is located in a pleasant residential area, 15 minutes walk form the main plaza. There are both indoor and outdoor classes and facilities include swimming pools, garden, a small library, and a cafeteria. Full capacity in high season can reach 325 students per day.
- Organised activities - The school organises various activities during the week including Latin American study courses conducted in English coverning many different topics as well as an Intercambio programme.
- Weekend trips - Optional excursions are offered most weekends to the surrounding area.
Homestays
- Distance to school - About half of the homestays are within walking distance of the school, the rest require a 15-25 minute bus ride.
- Number of students per home - There are usually other students in the same homestay. Most homestays that accommodate only one student at a time are located further away from school.
- Private or shared room - A shared room is included in the listed prices. An upgrade to a private room can be arranged for an additional cost.
- Meals included - 3 meals per day are provided by the host family.
- Private bathroom - Available at some homestays.
- Extra nights at homestay - Available most of the time at extra cost. The homestay included in the price starts on Sunday and finishes on Saturday.
- Laundry service - Not included.
Family Home
One of the most important parts of your learning and cultural experience is the homestay.
Most host families will give you a key to the outside door and you will be able to come and go as you please. You are not obliged to eat your meals with the family but you should notify your family when you will not be eating at home.
Your host family respects your beliefs and we ask that you show the same respect for their beliefs. It is a good idea to bring some pictures of family, friends, your house and even a map that shows where you live. These can be used to begin discussions with the family.
If you wish to change your homestay, you should notify the school administration.
