Daily from Flores airport 4 days, 3 nights Stay at one of the region’s most attractive, upmarket lodges and visit to the Mayan ruins at Tikal. Drive from Flores airport to the lodge, with a restaurant and thatched bungalows with decoration and furnishings inspired by indian art, linked by paths winding through the grounds. The verandahs of some overlook Lake Petén, on the banks of which the property is situated, others have views over the jungle. Full-day guided trip to Tikal’s pyramid temples. Next day there are optional excursions at the lodge, including kayaking, bird-watching and sunrise hikes. On the third day, visit two lesser frequented Mayan sites in the area, Yaxha and Topoxe. Return to Flores airport the following morning.
