Head south by road to the Colchagua Valley, one of the most fertile in Chile, dedicated to fruit and wine production.

Arrive Santa Cruz, and inspect two of the vineyards to view the wine-making process and taste the end result.

Visit Colchagua Museum, the largest private collection in the country. Overnight in a Santa Cruz hotel.

Next day, drop in on another winery on the celebrated Colchagua Wine route. Look around the San José del Huique Museum with its collection of local costumes. Return to Santiago.
