Horse riding in the Chilean lake district - follow in the footsteps of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid Daily from Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas (September to May) 4 days, 3 nights The Cochamó trail, once ridden by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, provides a perfect expedition for riders who wish to reach Patagonia’s pristine wilderness regions. After a night at Riverside Lodge, there is 5 hours’ gentle riding on the trail, climbing through the temperate rainforest, at the end of which you are rewarded with an asado (BBQ) prepared by gauchos and a night in a mountain refuge. The following day there are optional walks (no riding), and you return to Cochamó on horseback on the third day.
