Fernando de Noronha
Tropical island hideaway - northeast Brazil
Daily from Recife or Rio de Janeiro
4 days, 3 nights
The 21-island archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, with a population of less than 2000, was declared a marine national park in 1988. The islands are of volcanic origin and the principal inhabited one, dominated by a lofty 321m peak, is blessed with glorious beaches. Visitor numbers are limited and the infrastructure is controlled with nature conservation a priority. Fernando de Noronha is a popular destination for snorkellers and divers, while dolphin and turtle hatching observation is possible in season.
We offer a choice of hotels, which ranges from simple guesthouses to intimate boutique properties.
