Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Mexico arriving in the evening.
Day 2 City tour including the world famous Museum of Anthropology.
Day 3 Visit Teotihuacán, a vast city of ancient pyramids.
Day 4 Travel by bus to the colonial town and gastronomic centre of Oaxaca.
Day 5 Walking tour of the town, optional visit to nearby Mayan site of Monte Albán.
Day 6 Fly and drive to San Cristobál de las Casas, a colourful town in the heart of Chiapas.
Day 7 Visit nearby Mayan villages, steeped in tradition and local customs.
Day 8 Travel by bus into Guatemala to Lake Atitlán.
Day 9 Excursion to Chichicastenango, Central America's most famous market town.
Day 10 Explore the lakeside villages, or just relax with the stunning backdrop of volcanoes.
Day 11 Travel by bus to Antigua, a lively and welcoming colonial town.
Day 12 Explore the surrounding area.
Day 13 Fly from Guatemala City to the Mayan site of Tikal.
Day 14 Visit the awe inspiring ruins set in the Petén rainforest.
Day 15 Return to Antigua by air.
Day 16 Clients depart, arriving UK day 17.
