Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Georgetown, arriving that evening.
Day 2 Chartered flight over the mighty Kaieteur Falls, continue by air to Iwokrama Field Station.
Day 3 Experience wildlife at dawn by boat and visit Kurupukari Falls.
Day 4 Observe wildlife from the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway.
Day 5 Visit Surama village and learn about the Macushi tribe and life in the rainforest.
Day 6 Day at leisure or watch cowboys at work or enjoy local walks.
Day 7 Continue down the Rupununi river to Karanambu Lodge.
Day 8 Observe the giant otters in rehabilitation and abundant surrounding wildlife.
Day 9 Return to Georgetown by air.

A few days to spare?
Spend a couple of nights at the riverside resort of Arrowpoint, a nature resort with white sand beach, close to the homes of Arawak and Carib tribes who travel only by canoe. Swim, fish, join birdwatching expeditions.
